oh. my. gods. by Tera Lynn Childs

A modern girl's comedic odyssey in a school filled with the descendants of Greek gods.
When Phoebe's mom returns from Greece with a new husband and moves them to an island in the Aegean, Phoebe's plans for her senior year and track season are ancient history. Now she must attend the uberexclusive academy, where admission depends on pedigree, namely, ancestry from Zeus, Hera, and other Greek gods. That's right, they're real, not myth, and their teen descendants are like the classical heroes—supersmart and superbeautiful with a few superpowers. And now they're on her track team! Armed only with her Nikes and the will to win, Phoebe races to find her place among the gods.

OH. MY. GODS. It was epic.

My Thoughts:

Characters - My favorite character is Troy because he always stuck with Nicole and Phoebe which means he is a true friend.

Plot - I believe that the plot was well laid outand it helped me understand what was going on.

Voice - There was some trouble with the voice, for me, such as understnding what the characters were trying to say.

Intensity - There was a lot of intensity in the book, a manin one and the romance parts. As you know I love romances. :D

Humor: Humor lost this time, but not by very much. Maybe like an eighth of an inch. There was a lot of humor in the romances too.

My Ratings:

Characters: 4.5/5
Plot: 4.5/5
Voice: 4/5
Intensity: 5/5
Humor: 3.5/5

Average: 3.7/5 -or- 18.5/25

Just One Wish by Janette Rallison

Seventeen-year-old Annika Truman knows about the power of positive thinking. With a little brother who has cancer, it's all she ever hears about. And in order to help Jeremy, she will go to the ends of the earth (or at least as far as Hollywood) to help him believe he can survive his upcoming surgery.

But Annika's plan to convince Jeremy that a magic genie will grant him any wish throws her a curveball when he unexpectedly wishes that his television idol would visit him. Annika suddenly finds herself in the desperate predicament of getting access to a hunky star actor and convincing him to come home with her. Piece of cake, right?

Janette Rallison's proven talent for laugh-out-loud humor, teen romance, and deep-hearted storytelling shines in a novel that will have readers laughing and crying at the same time.

My Thoughts:

Characters - Overall, the characters were fantastic, but Steven stuck out to me. Even though he was rich and a movie star, he still had to deal with family and normal people things (almost).

Plot - The plot was well desinged had little to no cliffhangers. It aslo helped to lay down the sittuation and Annikas feelings about what happens.

Voice - I really understood what the characters were trying to say, how they felt, and their thoughts on the sittuation.

Intensity - The was not back-to-back intensity, but there was an overall feeling of haste to do things.

Humor - Tons of humor. Humor definetly one this round.

My Ratings:

Characters: 4.5/5
Plot: 4/5
Voice: 5/5
Intensity: 3.5/5
Humor: 5/5

Average: 4.4/5 -or- 22/25
